Causes

Vitiligo will also have a huge effect on the hair scalp. Usually, when it comes to hair scalp, this disease will leave white streaks or patches on hair. It will also affect the body and facial hair as well. Heredity could also be the reason for suffering this disease. In fact, over thirty percent of people suffering from this skin disorder have acquired it from their family members.

Nearly 7% percent of people suffering with this disease are due to the hereditary characteristics transferred by their parents. The skin of some people with this disease is seen to have some sort of patches. Stress is also one of the major causes of Vitiligo. Some other common causes of this skin disease are like immune hypothesis, neural hypothesis, self-destruction hypothesis, genetic hypothesis etc.

White patches are one of the most common symptoms of Vitiligo skin disease. Obviously, it is occurred due to the depigmentation of the skin. In some cases, the people with vitiligo would have witnessed gray scalp, eyebrows and eyelashes. Herbal Remedies

- Psoralea Seeds

These natural ingredients were noted to be very helpful in the treatment of Leucoderma. The seeds must first be soaked in juice of ginger for 3 days, and dried and powdered. Patients are advised to take 1 gram of the powder with fresh milk for 40 days, and the ground seeds must be applied to the white spots.

- Turmeric and Mustard Oil

These herbs have also been found to be effective in treating this skin disorder. Around 500 grams of pounded turmeric should be soaked in 8 kilograms of water, and heated until only a kilogram is left. Strain the remaining mixture and add 500 grams of mustard oil. Reheat the mixture until only the oil is left. Afterwards, apply the oil on the white patches every morning and evening for a month.

- Radish Seeds and Vinegar

The paste derived from combining radish and vinegar have been noted to help alleviate this disorder. Around 35 grams of the powdered seeds should be mixed with vinegar and applied on the white patches.

- Psoralea and Tamarind seeds

These two herbs should be first soaked in water for 3-4 days and dried after. Once dry, these should be grounded into a paste and applied on the patches for one week.
