Leveling Guide for Cataclysm World of Warcraft

Cataclysm is out and everyone is rushing to 85. By now, most people have at least one level 85 and some have started raiding and doing rated battle grounds. But if you aren't one of these people then you will enjoy these tips.

There is of course the traditional way of leveling, questing. Questing can still be nice if you know how to do it but there are some people that just won't get it right. To level fast while questing require that you need some in game add ons which not everyone know how to install. For these people there is one thing to do, and it's called Instance Leveling. The Dungeon finder toll will give you the ability to randomly party up with other people, and now in Cataclysm, this includes other realms as well so the queue time will be a lot faster.

If you are queueing as a damage dealer then the queue can be quite long, depending on which server you play on. And for healers and tanks the queue will be almost instant. So if you are a damage dealer then you should do some quests or grind while waiting for the queue to pop.

Instance leveling is easily the fastest way of leveling to 85 if you are rested, even if you aren't rested doing instance leveling can still be quite nice. And while leveling in instances, you will always have the latest gear so you won't have to worry about buying any from the Auction House.

Better Gear

The problem that you may stumble upon while doing normal leveling is that your gear can get outdated. But because you are leveling in dungeons this won't be a problem. You will receive gear drops from all the bosses, and these ones tend to be blue, which means that they are better than the ones you get by doing quests. Oh, and these are completely free. And this is really good when you are at the lower levels because getting gear at that time is quite hard.

Faster Kills With More Mobs

Another great thing when doing this is that you will kill more mobs faster, simply because you are more people. You will have to share the experience with the other people in the party but because you are killing elite players you will get more experience. You won't have to eat or flee either because you will have a tank and a healer on your side. And most tanks will be able to tank several mobs at a time, so that's even more experience for you!
