Lexus Dealerships Prepare For Surge Before Lfa Supercar Launch

With the exciting news that the new LFA Supercar is scheduled to be released in the UK

, Lexus dealerships are busy preparing for the expected rush when the car actually comes to market.

The new sleek, stylish and sporty supercar is Lexus' first foray into the market and it appears as though it will be a very successful experiment after initial reaction to the car from journalists around the world left the Japanese car giant feeling very optimistic.

Initially it was unsure whether UK Lexus dealerships would get the chance to stock the new GT car, but after initial projections were received it quickly became apparent that the UK and Europe would be a key market for the new car.

Lexus have attempted to enter the sports car arena before with little success, however, Lexus have never developed a car that has as much excitement and hype behind it. This is why all Lexus dealerships have been placed on alert for a wave of interested buyers with a series of demanding and quizzical questions.

The car is set to feature a 4.8 litre V10 engine which will produce numbers in the region of 552bhp, the car should be able to a reach a top speed of 202mph although this may be limited to 155mph in the UK. The car should also be able to reach 0 - 60mph in less than 3.7 seconds which is staggering stats for any supercar.

With figures like this there is bound to be a queue of wealthy business men and women waiting outside their local Lexus dealerships looking for information and wanting to put a deposit down on one of the most highly anticipated cars to come out of the Japanese market since the Honda NSX or Nissan Skyline. Whether the car will succeed or fail is something we can only tell when the car is released. Until then we will all have to play paper journalism and speculate about its actual performance.

Lexus have been given a great opportunity here, all they need to do is pick up the ball and run with it. The UK car market has been screaming out for a car of this calibre ever since the amazing Nissan GTR was featured on the Top Gear program last year. The car was released in the UK in March of 2009 with prices starting at 52,000GBP and range up to 55,000GBP. That figure should give Lexus dealerships a good ball park figure to play around with when the LFA hits showrooms in late 2010.
