Lg L7 P700 Exclusive Review
Gadgetfist is going to present an informative review of LG L7 P700
. In the race of the latest gadgets for every three budget phones on the contrary there are various handsets with even much better screens, extra processor speed and much lavish and attractive design. The LG L7 has got appealing design with built-in NFC and has a much desirable screen. The LG L7 is available at a price of 250 which is very costly as compared to L3 cut-down previously launched by LG.
The finishing of the phone is in white color. The large home button and presentable-sized screen outshines in its front give us a glance like Samsung galaxy S II. LG L7 is pretty lighter and slim too and easy to carry in your pocket or in a handbag. A volume controller on the left side of the phone awaits user to be interacted with, while the top edge is equipped with headphone socket and a power button.
The bottom edge contains socket for USB charging. On the backside of the handset it has a full-sized SIM socket along with MicroSD card slot. Users are able to use cards of capacities up to 32GB, depending on their need. A camera of 5-megapixel with average specifications is located at the back and a speaker grill.
The screen as major part of the design is also much appealing with a standard resolution of 480800 and it"s not shameful at all. The screen has a bright colorful detailed display. While streaming through some videos via Plex the result was pretty good. The big problem is with the lumpish processor of LG, Which means that you have to dial back the stream quality. But on a blazing rate the L7 has got good image quality along with its design and probably its screen is meting up as one of the best features of the phone.
Now we come to the point about the speed of the handset. According to latest gadget reviews about different handsets in the market the handset gives its users a big disappointment relating to its speed. In order to shutdown your phone swiping your finger through the home screen is enough. When you press any item in the menus you have to wait for seconds-long , that was really a big gash.
As we discussed earlier it"s not a wonderment. The LG L7 is operating on android 4 with a 1GHz processor and an Adreno 200 GPU. All things are wielding together using Qualcomm Snapdragon chip-set, specifically the MSM7227a.
If you are looking for phone with pretty decent sound features then there is a Dolby Mobile here, yes its LG7, probably you will not be disappointed by what LG is offering you.
One of the odd move is the hardware aspect of this phone that LG has under-specified, and has also decided to install Android 4. This is not an unusual step in itself but the visual elements has stripped out of the OS by the company which is strange. What do you mean by this is that you are running Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), but it gives you a look as that of Gingerbread. This makes your phone slower as compared to using Gingerbread.
The LG L7 as no software keys shown. However capacitive touch controls are provided on left and right side of the home key. They are no buttons to access the recent application menus, but built into Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) and you have to press and hold the home-key. This doesn"t feel like a big disaster but the thing that puts users in curiosity is that why the company bothered with this version of the operating system. Might be their goal is certainly to support NFC. The underpinnings of Ice Cream Sandwich are pretty obvious in the handset.
The other odd thing about the phone is its call quality. The call quality of L7 is not as good as that of L3. Calls look like dampened and it"s harder to hear what is going on due to less detail. The speaker and earpiece volumes don"t allow use in nosier environment because they are far too low, not talking about concerts just outdoor locations with a little road noise. These issues can be solved by introducing an update, but who will wait for that..
There is a rational or you can say undeviating problem the cameras of mid and low-range phones. The pictures taken from such mobiles are not that much detailed. You are able to make videos from 5-megapixel camera but its VGA, which makes you think about the processing speed of L7. Such pictures are only useful if you are going to upload your picture on the internet but not of that much good quality to do much else with.
Now we come to talk about the NFC. As one of its plus points LG equipped L7 with NFC tag. The tag is used to tell the phone when you are in the car. The tag puts you in a mode which seems to be most suitable for what you are doing. This drives the phone into navigation mode and also allow users to set up other actions. But the defined actions are not that much absolute, because if you think that the tag will go to certain website, doing more tangled task or call a phone number then you are not so lucky.
