'Lie' as we know is a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive someone; an intentional untruth; a falsehood

. But lie also means, in very simple terms to lay down horizontal. However we are talking about the 'lie' considered as to be a hideous crime, mentioned even in the Bible "Psalms 31:18, "Let the lying lips be put to silence;" . In Gita also, prevarications are considered as a crime more offensive than robbing. According to Gita it was just a single 'lie' which gave a way to the famous battle of 'Mahabharata'. Life won't be easy with truth but it will have an easy path to walk on. Speaking lies would show all the beauty of the world in the beginning but at in the end it leads to the path of hell.

To tell the truth is the toughest thing a man can do, but anyone who crosses the hurdles will definitely be the bravest warrior. There is another kind of lie. Lies at times do not cause harm to people. Such lies could give a solution to a problem. They are called 'White Lies'. White lies are so called as the color white signifies purity and richness in spreading its hue. So does it, white lies in a very simple term means lies which does not hamper of bring distress to the life of others. It is correctly said, "A white lie is always pardonable. But he who tells the truth without compulsion merits no leniency".

In hiding the truth and not telling the truth there is vast difference. I really don't know which one I did when I had the toughest time with my most dearest friend. I really did not understand whether I was hiding the reality or I was lying. However, in both ways I lost the trust and faith that my friend had in me. Just thinking that the hard facts may hurt my friend I did not speak the fact. But little did I know that it was better that he knew the . As someday or the other he will definitely come to know. The strong head did not even realize the fact that if my pal comes to know the truth, I would be responsible for it.

What I feared happened and I lost the war of reasoning. I could not prove the innocence and hence was named 'a liar' and good game player. How I regret why did not I tell the truth at first. This may be the realization that made me guilty every instance.

However, my friendship is lost and so is my friend. As every bad thing has a good side, this also gave me one important perception towards life and that is "Lie is easy to say, but lives a short life".
