Do you drag yourself to work on Monday? Jostle for space with the maddening morning crowd? Get to face your demanding boss for a seemingly endless day? Work alongside with colleagues who seem always to get on your nerves? Force yourself to please difficult-to-please customers? Need to take on extra work when you are half-buried under work? Receive unkind remarks that make you boil inside? Need to put up with unreasonable behaviour and unfair treatment that make you fume?

How to smile when life hands you lemons after lemons, right? But, believe me, you can if you choose so. Yes, it is all up to you, happy or sad, you decide. The very moment you decide to be happy, its all yours to savour. Think happy thoughts, keep positive outlook. Why let external circumstances dictate your happiness when you are the master controller? Whenever you find yourself in a victim mode or about to enter a victim mode, quickly tune in to the happy channel it will uplift you instantly.

Think about this. There are countless folks who are hungry for jobs and would gladly be in your shoes. Be thankful that you get to dress up on Monday, have the resources to take a bus or train ride to work, get a chance to build meaningful relationships with your colleagues, have a boss who will pay you every month and have customers who ensure that you get paid.

Be compassionate. The people who annoy you may be overwhelmed by their own problems and sufferings. Given their trying circumstances, they may be behaving at their best already. Be gentle on them. Send them your well wishes. Imagine a stream of lucky stars flowing from your heart to encircle them. Smile when you have done so.

Life is too short to be unhappy. When you are happy, your outer world will rejoice with you. Your positive energy and light will be felt by those around you. Isnt this wonderful? Hesitate no further. Choose to be happy andfrom this moment.
