inside and outside the Linshu country in order to build Linshu (China) Wicker Artmuseum The set-up of Linshu (China) Wicker Artmuseum is aimed at carrying forward wicker arts & crafts, exploring cultural connotation and meanings of the wicker arts, promoting wicker culture communion and exchanges, giving directions to wicker arts' research, communication, protection, store up, passing on and spread. Therefore, wicker culture resources can be developed, protected and utilized rationally.

Linshu country, located in the mountain area of Yimeng, has a long history of cultivating and processing osier. Thereinto, the wicker plaiting and planting first appeared in Liuzhuang village of Baimao Town in the early years of the Tang Dynasty. In 2008, the output value of Linshu's wicker industry reached 169 million yuan. In 2009, the amount of earnings from exports of wicker products exceeded $8,000,000 and accountted for 56 per cent of all exports of the entire Linshu country. Linshu was honored with " The City for Wicker of China" by China Arts - Crafts Association (CACA).

These years, along with the changes in people's concept of consumption on home lives, more and more people begin to advocate and think highly of wicker arts and wicker products. Linshu (China) Wicker Artmuseum will be the base for local capable person to do pioneering work and seek their own fortune. Linshu country encourages folk wicker artisan and great wicker artist to creat wicker arts & crafts that can represent Linshu's local cultrue and art.
