Liquid Grip Enhancer Spray: Golf, Tennis, Baseball
Liquid Grip Enhancer Spray: Golf, Tennis, Baseball
The use of grip enhancers has become more prevalent in sports. Athletes are always looking for the edge over their competition. By eliminating sweat, athletes will experience better performance.
There are a number of grip enhancers on the market. Your choice should depend on the sport you play. For golf, you should look for a grip enhancer that is less sticky. Because golf is not the most active leisure, you don't need the stickiness that you might need in other sports.
Liquid grip enhancing sprays work extremely well in hot and humid conditions. Here is a list of the most effective grip enhancers:
Handdri: This is a product that comes in a convenient clip-on carry case for golfers. Simply rub the bag on your hands and swing away. The downside of the product is the grit. A sand like substance is transferred over to your hands, reducing sweat.
Quick Grip: This is the best product on the market. Quick Grip is a liquid spray that reduces moisture without the stickiness. It comes in a convenient bottle and will last 30+ rounds. The layer of grip it creates will actually preserve your golf grips. This will allow your grips to last longer. USGA Permitted.
Stickigrips: This grip enhancer is great for wet conditions. In dry conditions, it can be excessively sticky. As a cloth, the product can be easily applied to your hands and grips. Be careful not to rub your eyes after application, as it will cause irritation.
For tennis, try using a grip enhancer that strictly reduces sweat. If you use a product that is sticky in tennis, transferring the racquet can become difficult. By using a grip enhancer that only reduces sweat; you will be able to perform at a higher level.
Prince Grip: Prince makes a grip enhancer that is very effective. It reduces sweat without the excessive stickiness. The bottle is somewhat inconvenient, but it allows my hands to stay dry. Transferring the racket in my hands during a match is not an issue with this product.
Mighty Grip: This grip enhancer comes in a powder form. It is not as effective as prince grip but gets the job done. I find powders to be inconvenient because they tend to make the racket more slippery.
For baseball, you will need a grip enhancer that has more grip strength than golf and tennis. However, a product that is too sticky will leave you with the same effects as pine tar.
Quick Grip: Because this product is Non-Sticky, it works extremely well for baseball. Being able to use a grip enhancer that reduces moisture without the stickiness is an advantage in baseball. After applying the product to you hands (or gloves), you will then be in the field throwing the ball. Quick Grip offers the benefit of an enhanced grip both at bat and on the field.
Stickum: This product can be used in baseball to get the most enhanced grip possible. The convenient spray makes it great for baseball. Applying Stickum made it feel like I had left superglue on my hands. This product is very effective if used on batting gloves.
