Have you ever thought about about the person guiding the lens of those lovely celebrity pictures you see in magazines, then you already know the answer. Celebrity photographers are trained in and familiar with capturing real emotion and talent on film. These people have as much talent as the individuals they are photographing, and most likely work in one or two of three distinct categories.

Another main group that celebrity photographers work in is celebrity portraits. Many of these are the more personalized photos you see of famous people, such as the ones that accompany the interviews you get in magazines. Most of these photographs are the ones which are designed to find the essence of each celebrity, and to provide the viewer a peak into who that person really is in their personal life.

Celebrity portraits are also used on album covers, in magazines as stated before, and even in celebrity's personal portfolios. They are also designed for the same things that all people use photography for - to capture a lovely family portrait. After all, celebrities are first and foremost people, and take family pictures the same as anybody else.

The next group that celebrity photographers operate in is paparazzi, which is when the photographer takes candid shots of celebrities. It is common knowledge that paparazzi photographers have a reputation for harassing celebrities, a reputation that's deserved. But not all of paparazzi photographers deserve this status. Quite a few operate within their own ethical standards, and frequently only take photographs once they have permission. Regrettably you never read about these types of photographers too often.

So the next time you see an amazing image of your favorite musician, actor, singer or politician, you now know a bit more about the expertise guiding the camera. Without having celebrity photographers, and their true talents, we wouldn't be offered a a glance into who our favorite famous people really are.
