Are you open to doing anything or do you want it in a specific field or industry? Do you have a minimum hourly or salary in mind? Are you willing to commute or do you want a local job in my area? Its thinking of these sorts of questions that will help you in finding a job and well if all else fails where you cant find what you are searching for you can always take whatever job comes your way.

Once you put some thought into the questions above you can start searching for a job. Most individuals resort to the popular ways of finding a job such as the classified ad section in the local weekend newspaper. Many seek for jobs online at places such as Monster when they think of searching for local jobs in my area. Others search for jobs through networking and asking their friends if their front office are hiring. I would say the networking and asking friends is actually the best way because they can always put in a favorable word for you to increase your chances of getting hired. But what happens when you try these methods and there just aren't any jobs available? Many stop there when it comes time to finding local jobs in my area.
