The critical first step in the process of creating customers for life is to make sure their first buying experience with you is a good one. Once you have removed them from the clutches of your competitors, you can then move your new first time customers through your sales process, and offer them additional products and services forever.

But you've got to get that critical first sale, and you have to get the experience right, or you will have no chance of there being a second sale in the future.

So, How Do You Create That Favorable First Experience?

You already know that your first sale to a new customer is going to be the hardest, so make it an easy decision for them to buy from you instead of anyone else. In many cases, the new customers, patients or clients you want will be happily buying the exact same services or products from another business.

To get them to switch, you'll have to make a compelling, irresistible offer, or they'll simply stay where they are.

It's ironic that many of my consulting clients are very reluctant to create any sort of irresistible offer to entice first time customers to come to their business. Some of them seem to believe that simply because they are in business, new customers will drop their current suppliers and come to them instead.

Problem is, in most cases, it just isn't going to happen unless you ethically 'bribe' them to come on over to you instead.

The Simple Solution To Changing Your Customer's Buying Habits

One of the easiest and fastest ways to get customers to change their buying habits is to create an absolutely irresistible offer, and entice them to shop with you instead. The next step is to keep them shopping with you by building a relationship with them so they come to know, like and trust you, or they'll go to the next business that makes them a great offer.


Once you have attracted those new customers, make sure you do everything you can to enrol them into some sort of VIP program or frequent buyers club. Send them regular 'Client Only' offers and special deals to keep them loyal, and you'll increase your sales while making your relationship stronger.

The easiest way to do this is to send your customers to a simple website and offer them something of real value to give you their name and email address. Then you can create a highly automated follow up system that constantly reminds your customers about you, and keeps you at the top of their minds when they are thinking about buying any of the products or services you offer.

By doing this, you'll see your customer acquisition and retention rates increase, and your profits will soar.
