If you want to have interesting looking designs on your scrapbook you need to pay top dollar for them in specialty and craft stores, or do you?

Contrary to what you believe, there are other places where you can get materials for your scrapbooks, and the supplies that you can get from these places are a lot cheaper than in craft stores, and some of them you can even get for free! Grocery Stores

There are plenty of unusual scrapbook supplies that you can get the next time you go grocery shopping. For instance, you can use a potato, carrots, or any hard root vegetables as stamps. Just cut your potato in half and carve any image you want. Some labels in cans and bottles have beautiful designs, you can also make use of these in your scrapbook.

In Your Yard or Garden

Nature can also provide you with beautiful additions for your scrapbook. Take a stroll around your garden and look for leaves that have a particularly pretty pattern on them, just dry them out and you can then use them as materials. Pressed flowers also make beautiful scrapbook supplies, take a flower that you like and press it in between the pages of a large book. Keep the flower and leaves in there for a couple of days and they will be ready to use.

Your Attic

Scrounge around your attic and you will likely find useful knock-knacks for your scrapbook. You may have some of your old storybooks lying around there, some of them have beautiful illustrations that you can cut out and use. You may even have some old, clothes strewn all around your storage area, bits of fabric from those clothes and also a few odd buttons can also be used as scrapbook materials.

What better place to find materials for a scrapbook than in a scrapyard. Look for little baubles like old coins, washers, neat-looking bottle caps, anything that you think will look good in your scrapbook. You can also use ornate pieces of sheet metal as a template for your airbrush work.

Just use your imagination and you can find scrapbook supplies everywhere you look. Keep in mind that beautiful scrapbooks are not necessarily those that are made using expensive materials, often they are those that are made using lots of creativity.
