Unlike universal remotes of the past that take hours to set up and program the Harmony 659 connects to your Tablet PC (or any other computer) with an included USB cable and is set up over the internet.

I started with a list of the make and model numbers of the devices I wanted to control with the Logitech remote 659 and It took less than 20 minutes from the time I connected the remote to the computer to enter the information for my devices and set up the activities associated with them.

Activities are logical, intuitive and efficient. Imagine the typical steps needed to watch a DVD movie: power everything on, change the television input and screen mode, set audio input and decoding format, dim the lights, then finally start the movie playing.
