Long Distance Moving Companies Take The Hassle Out Of Relocation

My cousin is planning to move to New York early next year

. She was in a bad relationship in Colorado and moved back to Wyoming to be closer to home, and has since decided that going to New York and restarting would be in her best interests. We have a lot of family there as well, so she would not be in unfamiliar territory, but she does have a lot of stuff to take, and she needs to decide how much of it will be making the journey across the country. She is also faced with the task of having to unpack what she still has packed, repack what she wants to take, and then renting a truck, and she will need to rent a truck, to move all of her stuff to New York City.

I was chatting with her online tonight and she was telling my about her plans and how she is going to need a load of people to help her pack. She also may need a loan to get the moving van because the cost of a one way rental can be pretty excessive. And then there was the concern of finding people to help her unpack when she arrived, because our cousins might help, but they are scattered all over the city and getting them together all on the same day at the same time probably would not work.

I listened for a while and then thought about what one of my brothers did when he moved to New York from San Francisco. Rather than go through all of the trouble himself, he hired a long distance moving company to pack, move, and unpack for him. All he had to do was drive his sports car across the country, stopping at some nice spots along the way, and be there in time to unlock the door and let the movers in to his new place in Manhattan.

I talked to my cousin about it, and told her that I think the cost was better than that of a one way rental van. She was far more interested in the idea of not having to either pack or unpack her things, which I can understand, knowing how much stuff she has collected. I gave her the name of the company that my brother had used, and once she figures out where she will be living, she will make the arrangements with the moving company to have all of her things transported to her new place. We were both happy when we got offline, and I wish her well.
