Los Angeles landscape designer - My Home Remodeling Project with a Design and Remodeling Expert

Southern California is filled with beautiful beaches, people, and is also known for its real estate. With many different styles of homes and interiors, the possibilities and options for any homeowner to redesign and remodel their home are endless. When taking a look at my own home I realized it had been outdated by 25 years and needed a serious makeover. I know I didn't have all the time and expertise to remodel and design on my own so I consulted with a General Contractor Los Angeles homeowners recommended. I was pleased to find that my General Contractor had photos of previous designs he had completed and felt more comfortable consulting with him about my style and what I would like to see with the results so we began planning my Kitchen Remodeling project.

My contractor explained that with a Kitchen Remodel Los Angeles homeowners usually went for more modern looks but were mostly concerned with functionality as many homeowners stressed that their kitchen was the center and most used spaces in their home. My contractor had lots of useful input to give on the kind of cabinetry and countertops I could mix and match to customize my kitchen's design. He also showed me different kinds of appliances I found useful to implement during the construction phase. I was able to add a double-oven into my kitchen that I previously didn't have and cabinetry that was customized to my requests for shelves I could pull out, or slide out, of the cabinet to make finding things a lot easier.

We then moved onto the design and construction phase of my master bathroom. My contractor gave me insight on other Los Angeles Bathroom Remodeling projects he had completed and shared photos of previous projects. I showed him the remodeling project I liked the most as I wanted to complete a project that had a similar feel as the one I had saw but with a few changes in color and accessories (such as faucets and showerheads). The contractor showed me different types and colors of tile and gave recommendations for every type as well as the colors blending in with the entire style I wanted to complete with the project.

I had also thought about landscaping and thought to contact a Los Angeles Landscape Designer who was experienced with designs and could provide me with a unique style my entire family could enjoy. I was surprised to find out that my general contractor also completed landscape design projects and because I already designed a kitchen and bathroom remodel with him, was more apt to complete a landscape design project with him as well. I stressed my need for a patio awning that covered enough of the patio but didn't make it seem like the backyard was completely covered. We discussed awning material pros and cons, and finally were able to decide on a wooden awning that suited the wooden deck we were going to install as well.
