There are no words that will give comprehension or enough comfort in this situation.
You do not have to conform to the conventional tradition of trying to let go. Your mother is and always will be a part of you and you a part of her. Her blood runs in your veins so you are inextricably linked and can never be separated. But more than this you share a spiritual bond much stronger than the physical. She cannot leave you for it is just not possible. Know this, live and feel it.
Tears are fine, they are just an emotion to be expressed freely whenever we feel the need and situation permits. Give yourself permission to feel whatever you feel on any given day, our humanity is ours to explore.
Whatever you do try to accommodate loved ones in their support for you and trust that they mean well. Also continue to find ways to forgive and rid yourself of any guilt you may feel for we are never to blame for situations out of our control.
Stay strong and keep faith in the knowledge that only the body dies, the spirit lives on eternally and always will. Love dissolves all conditions so give and receive it in abundance. It is free and is the greatest gift of all. We love and bless ourselves more by giving love, much like a mother does her child. The strength within you is infinite so draw on it as often as you need to and from those around you.
