Losing weight is not the same as having a healthy lifestyle
In the last two decades, there has been a sharp increase in the number of obesity and numerous health problems associated with the increased weight condition. A new research was carried out to investigate the effect of long-term calorie-restricting diets on treating the obesity. The study focussed on whether or not the dieting could be an effective course of treatment for preventing the obesity and managing the weight afterward. The result was alarming and unexpected at the same time. It raised serious doubts about various dieting programmes that promise successful weight loss maintenance.
The study showed a significant weight regain amongst the dieters, who followed calorie-restricted dieting regimes in order to lose weight and maintain their normal weight afterward. About two third of people, who followed a calorie-restricted dieting regime dieting regime regained more weight afterward than they lost while they were on diets. In addition, there was no consistence evidence that dieting regime had a significant impact on health improvements either, whether or not the participants had any weight changes. The study failed to find any little support for the theory that dieting regimes can lead to a lasting weight loss. Neither had it found any support for the health benefit.

I firmly believe that, if you have done the same and got the same result, you should stop beating yourself up about dieting and failing.It is not your fault.Arguing with yourselfabout food and worrying about what people think of you will not help. Everybody wants to improve her/his health and life-style. (I deliberately choose not to use the term weight-loss'). Those who carry extra weight, more than anybody want to reduce their size and wear all the nice dresses they used to or wish to wear. Everybody, ladies in particular, wants to achieve their ideal and most natural size 10, 12 or maybe 8 within couple of months, and keep it too. It might sound bizarre, but it is true! We all want to improve our health and look our best every day, even though some of us might not admit it!
Many of us have tried diets and failed, and this could be a good reason to give up on your effort to achieve your optimum weight and natural look.You may have gone on every diet programme in existenceat least once, or may be twice to give it another go. You may have decided tocut down on your caloriesand count them every day. You may have donerigorous exercises mixed with drinking lot oftasteless shakesagainst your inner will.
It's easy to imagine that although you probably were always able to drop a few lbs or kiloshere and there, you may have put it back on and still are in square one. Every time you started a new diet, you'd probably lost some weightthe first week and became really excited. You may have continued to loose some more weight the next week, and then became discouraged and quit the programme altogether because you weren't enjoying it.
It happens to everyone us because we only want to lose weight, and not really thinking about having a healthy life-style.Losing weight is not the same as having a healthy life-styleand everybody agrees on that. There are many dieting programmes designed by different companies and unfortunately most of them do not live to our expectations. They introduce different dieting regimes and encourage us try the new ones with all sorts of guarantees!How we behave and what we all do is assign ourselves to yo-yo dieting, that's all. We decide to eat less, count our calories, join the gym, etc ... and we put our body through all sorts of dieting experiments, which don't seem to be working. the answer may be is in our mind and our relationship with what we eat, and how we eat.
