We have all been there. You were invited over to a friend's house for dinner and before you finish your first glass of wine, it happens. The dreaded sales pitch that sounds something like this. "We have gotten involved with this company that has the best product and the best compensation plan that we have ever seen there are people making a gazillion dollars, are you interested". The problem with most MLM companies isn't the product or the compensation plan; it is the lack of training that their representatives are getting when they start spreading the word.

MLM companies have one thing is common. Their success and long term sustainability have a direct relationship with who is marketing their products. Sure there are several other important factors to look at when deciding on which MLM companies to get involved with but none are more important than the people involved. The reason for this is if there are exceptional people involved, chances are there is exceptional training.

MLM Companies Product vs. Training

Ok, I can hear you screaming so loudly that I can hear you through my computer speakers. What about the product? Isn't the product the most important thing? There is no question that MLM companies with a strong product line set themselves apart but without good people and exceptional training available for new distributors, it will flounder into obscurity and never live up to its fullest potential. The truth is that if MLM companies that have an exceptional product, compensation plan and training systems attract the top talent in the industry, then they attract everyone else.

With all of that said, it is important that you feel a legitimate excitement about the product as well. You can be associated with the best people in the industry and not feeling anything about the product and you will be miserable. The good news is that there are hundreds of MLM companies to chose from but you need to research them to find the best match for you.

MLM Companies Research or Gossip?

Let me talk about research for a second. When I suggest you do research, I am not telling you to believe all that is written on the internet about MLM companies by people that fail at everything and have nothing better to do than bash every industry there is. That isn't research! That is Gossip! Believing everything you read on the internet is just about the same as asking investment advice from the person that mows your grass. I'm sure they are great at landscaping but do they really know anything about investing? All I am saying is to consider the source when taking advice on anything. If you wouldn't take advice from them in person, why are you taking their advice online? There are credible sources on the internet, you just have to take your time and locate them.

All MLM companies are not created equal. Look for MLM companies that have attracted talented people. Find a product that you can get behind and excited about. Find out from the person that brought the opportunity to you about the training that you will receive. Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions and make sure to do legitimate research. Being in Network Marketing can be very rewarding and profitable. Do yourself a favor and follow these simple steps and you will find the best of all MLM companies for you.
