Mahindra Scorpio wins the "Raid-de- Himalaya" for 3 Years in a Row!

One of the most iconic Sports Utility Vehicles of India - the Mahindra Scorpio has currently created a hat-trick during the 12th Raid-de-Himalaya. The Raid-de-Himalaya is one of the most thrilling and adventurous events in the calendar of Indian motorsports. The product, Mahindra Scorpio came out as the winner in the record three segments under the category called the Adventure Trial Sports Utility Vehicle category. Mahindra Scorpio has been dominating the Indian SUV segment since a long time. The product has touched new heights of success with this new milestone. The Scorpio had also won Raid De Himalaya in the year 2009 and 2008 in the Adventure Trial - SUV category. This victory made it a hat-trick for the product. Overall, Sanjay Takale and Rahul Sancheti came first in this category called the Adventure Trial - SUV Category. They also stood first in the Stock Expert segment. K Prasad and K Pradeep stood first in the Pro Stock Expert segment. Raj Singh Rathore and Chandrashekhar emerged as winners in the Stock Amateur segment. Mr. Vivek Nayer, Sr. Vice-President, Marketing, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. while commenting upon the success of Mahindra Scorpio, stated that this victory assures that the rugged and robust 'Mahindra DNA' of Mahindra Scorpio is an admirable, adorable brand. He further said that it is a moment of pride for them that they have won third time in a row. This achievement is proves that the product Mahindra Scorpio is truly an adventurous and outstanding model. The event Raid de Himalaya 2010 had total one hundred sixty four participating teams. These teams were quite excited about the event. However, the rugged and tough Mahindra Scorpios were seen dominating this interesting six-day long competition. The event flagged off at Shimla on the very first day. It closed at Manali on day 6 with a grand rally. All the participants took daring moves during the event as they faced many challenging conditions. Mr. Sanjay Takale, the winner of Adventure Trial-SUV category, Raid De Himalaya 2010 commented that completing this event- Raid de Himalaya is really an achievement in itself. It was a team effort and the victory could not have been possible without this effort of the whole team.
