Athlete's foot occurs due to sweaty feet and itches and burn while ringworm occurs due to perspiration and improper hygiene or transmitted by animals. Ringworm has a bright reddish circular appearance and a lighter red appearance around the center or sometimes white in the middle and spreads if not treated.
