A Month before the Move Checklist

Submit form for change of address to post office

Get documents for school/college transfers

Find a right moving company and make reservations

Make sure you hire a local mover that is registered and experienced

Give your new address to your friends and relatives

Make a garage sale of those items you want to get rid of or you will not carry with you

One or Two Weeks before the Move Checklist

Change your address from banking accounts to the new location

Return rented or borrowed books to library

Return rented or borrowed CDs, DVDs, etc

Clean the house properly

Get your prescriptions transferred to the new location

Call operators for utility shut off and new connections

Gather goods that will not be moved and dispose them or donate them

Start packing of goods using good quality packing materials

Call your packers & movers in time

Check each room and storage area
