VideoObject utilizes information on the title, video duration, a thumbnail image, and a description of your video. Koozai.com explains that one advantage to using VideoObject is that it enables you to accurately describe each video thats on a single page containing multiple videos.

Here are the VideoObject properties youll need to provide.


* Name: The title of the video

* Thumbnail URL: A thumbnail image for the video that must be at least 16090 pixels, but no more than 19201080. Files should be in either .jpg, .png, or .gif format.

* Content URL: A URL of the video itself.

* Embed URL: The URL for the video page that can typically be found in the tag for the video.

This should be used for video hosted by a third-party website.

* Description: A written description of the video.

There are optional properties you can provide, including duration, upload date, and the height and width of the video in pixels.

As is the case with rich-snippet markup, its recommended that you test any Schema.org markup using the Google Rich Snippet Testing tool.

Giving viewers the information needed to determine if your search result is what theyre looking for optimizes your page. A quick glance of a snippet markup using VideoObject leads the reader to your site with little effort on their part.
