Making Bad Tattoos Distant Memories

I'm not saying that I dislike tattoos

I'm not saying that I dislike tattoos. It's just that I doubt I'd ever get one myself. I'm also not saying that all tattoos are ugly, I just question the reasoning behind getting something permanently marked on your body. Have you ever seen a tattoo and just wondered what was that person thinking? You probably have.

My friend Sara and I couldn't help but think that and laugh and sometimes grimace at some of the bad tattoos that we recently found online. Apparently, there is no end to the number of horribly designed and ill-conceived tattoos that have been forever etched onto the bodies of people all over the world.

Sara is no stranger to the world of bad tattoos. She'd rather not discuss it, but let's just say that she has had to have a tattoo removed. The tattoo was her ex-boyfriend's name! I do believe that is a bad idea for anyone to do. Thankfully, she can actually laugh at it now, knowing that so many other people have made choices that are much worse.

At least Sara's tattoo had her boyfriend's name spelled correctly. Some of the ink that we found online had marked the person with names that were misspelled. We couldn't help but wonder how they didn't have time to spell check before going through the long and painful process of making the word permanent.

Other people, as I'm sure you know, have gone so far as to put the faces of loved ones on their bodies. Not to say that I disagree with the sentiment, but some of the tattoos we saw simply did not resemble the person being honoured. It sounds bad to speak of a sweet and heartfelt ode in this way, but many of these tattoos were just plain ugly.

Thank goodness for laser tattoo removal. Sara, I'm sure, seconds that sentiment. This treatment is highly recommended for those that wish to remove unwanted tattoos, as it is the only procedure that can do so without scarring the skin. These lasers emit high intensity light energy directly at the tattoo so that it destroys tiny ink particles.

Generally, black tattoos require four to eight sessions for complete removal while coloured tattoos need a few more. The more elaborate the tattoo, of course, the longer it will take to remove it. Black and red ink responds the best to laser energy while blue/green colors do not fare as well. Those usually require at least 50% more treatments for the same result as a black tattoo.

Or, as always, be sure to contact an experienced physician or skin care specialist for questions about the procedure. After all, tattoos don't have to be permanent mistakes. Like it was for Sara, Laser Tattoo Removal can help your poor decisions become distant memories.
