Making Money With Two Tier and Multi Tier Affiliate Programs The How To
Tier commissions are those that are generated through sales that come from an affiliate who signed up to promote a product under another affiliate. One way to increase your affiliate income is work with Two Tier affiliate programs that offer two-tier or multi-tier commissions. I do very well with tier-commission affiliate programs by utilizing both aspects of the earnings possibilities when doing article marketing.

So, while my direct sales may be earning $20 to $50 commission with each sale depending on the program, the tier-affiliates who are signed up underneath me will also generate commissions for me. The amounts are generally much smaller, usually $3 to $10 with each sale for a tier commission, but they add up quickly when you have multiple active affiliates sign up under your various two tier affiliate programs.
I have found that for every 100 two tier affiliates who sign up underneath me:
At least 30 will become an active affiliate with at least $40 in sales
At least 10 will earn $400+ in the first year
At least 3 will become successful affiliates generating sales of $250+ plus each month.
Occasionally, you will encourage an affiliate to sign up underneath you that will go the extra mile. This tier affiliate will take on the program as one of their main business endeavours and will work to generate sales in the tens of thousands each and every month. This means a great deal of tier-commissions for the affiliate who they signed up under. They are rare, but serious affiliate marketers have to sign up somewhere, there is no reason they shouldn't sign up under you! I have one such tier-affiliate who's efforts have benefited me greatly. Imagine having one tier affiliate earn you as much as $10,000+ in less then a year. I know for a fact it is possible!
Writing Articles That Draw In Tier Affiliates
Encouraging 100 people to sign up with your chosen two tier affiliate programs and become tier affiliates underneath you is not entirely difficult but it does require some time and effort. If your goal is to have a large amount of tier-affiliates, so as to increase your chances of landing high earning affiliates underneath you, start brainstorming a game plan. Start with a goal of 20 articles that will solely promote the benefits of becoming an affiliate of the affiliate program you are promoting. Your articles could have selling point topics such as:
Percentage or per sale commission of the product
Tools provided for affiliates by the affiliate program
Required minimum earnings for payout
Methods available for marketing promotion
Buyers desire of affiliate product
Reputation of affiliate program
Your articles should be posted at different article directories and web 2.0 websites that allow affiliate links. It's entirely okay to post a few of each to your favorite article directories, but do not post all articles to one article directory website. Search engines tend to not like similar articles and keywords from the same url on the same page of search results. But, they will allow articles with the similar titles and keywords to dominate the front page of search results if they are coming from different url sources. There are some keyword phrases where 5+ of the top 10 first page results are all my articles promoting the same program.
Encouraging Your Two Tier Affiliates
If your affiliate program encourages you to contact and encourage your tier affiliates, do so with respect. I have found the best way to make contact is to attach a PLR (Private Label Rights) article I wrote myself to the e-mail. I let the affiliate know that I am welcoming them to the program as the affiliate they signed up under and want to do everything I can to encourage their successes, including sharing a PLR article that I only give out to my tier affiliates.
It's recommended not to send more then 1 or 2 e-mails unsolicited so that you are not bugging people with spam. If you are going to contact your tier affiliates, make sure that your e-mails count! Request that they e-mail you back if they are interested in keeping in touch and receiving more free advice/articles/tips or have them sign up for your Auto Responder so it will make much less work on your part.
Keeping the Momentum Going
Article burnout happens. If you are tired of promoting for tier affiliates, switch back to promoting the product directly. Utilize both sides of the possible earnings to maximize the potential. If you've already produced 30 or so articles for both then try moving on to other two tier affiliate programs and start growing these in the same manner.
