Tourists travelling around Manali can avail the services of buses, taxis, auto rickshaws, rented bikes etc. For tourists who are travelling with family, are advised to avail the services of cabs, since these are the most convenient mode of travel. Taxis can be hired on hourly basis or per kilometer. Sometimes taxis can be hired for an entire day for around INR 1500. Buses are not a very reliable mode of transportation since the service is very irregular and the buses themselves are very crowded.
Among the many attractions in Manali, most popular are Kullu, Manikaran, Naggar, Raison, Malana and Bhuntar. The Kullu valley is the hub of many adventure activities such as trekking, rafting and skiing. Other attractions are Himalayan National Park, Jagannathi Devi temple, Chandrakhani pass and Jalori Pass. Naggar is a heritage village that is famous for Naggar Castle and Roerich Gallery and is situated by the river Beas.
