ceremonial parade through the city. The parade ends up at Pichhola Lake where the idols are transferred to special boats with a lot of singing and festivity.

It is celebrated to honor Gauri, the wife of Lord Shiva and the goddess of abundance.During the festival young girls dress up in their finest clothes and pray for their choicest grooms, meanwhile the married women pray for the welfare of their husbands.

Teej is a famous festival on the maps of Jaipur, and celebrated in full reverence. During this festival married women worship Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati, by fasting for 24-hours and

praying for the long life of their husband. This fast is stringent as the women

are not allowed to have even a drop of water.

Elephant Festival is celebrated around Holi (March). It is a great opportunity to watch several elephant sports and enjoy the festival of colors, simultaneously.
