American superstar, Mariah Carey has sparked rumours that she is expecting a baby

with her husband after being spotted out and about wearing a dress from maternity wear brand A Pea in a Pod.

Although the singer and actress has been spotted wearing a long maxi dress from the maternity clothes retailer, she is still refusing to confirm if she is expecting a baby or not.

The pictures that have been emerging of the 40 year old in the brown dress have received mixed reactions as some people believe she simple chose the dress from the maternity wear label for comfort.

Regardless of why she chose to wear the dress, she has been receiving a lot of unwanted attention from journalists all over the world desperate to work out if she is expecting her first child or not.

These rumours have stayed fresh thanks to her husband, Nick Cannon refusing to give a concrete answer.

Speaking on a radio show in the United States the 29 year old said: "I'm pretty sure that when my wife is ready to make any announcement it won't be to the media.

"When she's ready to share with the rest of the world, then she'll let everyone know."

On the same radio show he continued to poke fun at the media and tease fans even further by speaking about possible baby names the couple would choose only when they are actually expecting a baby.

He added: "We're going to name all our kids Mariah. Mariah number one, Boy Mariah..... It's going to be a house full of people named Mariah!"

In recent news article in the Hollywood Reporter, her husband also revealed the superstar has also been reported to be desperate to appear on popular television talent show, American Idol.
