Maroon 5 – Hands ‘on or off' Hands All Over

For Maroon 5 fans, this is the NEW album they've been waiting for.

Hands All Over comes four years after their last hit album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long, which the band has had on life support till now, giving the songs on that play-list time to go into a deep recession before re-emerging again. Since the 2006 release, Maroon 5 has treated fans to a REMIX album, a B-Side Collection iTunes release, and a live in SoHo set from the same service, however fans have had enough, and finally new tunes have emerged.

and for all the hype, the first time I took this album inI shunned it

...instantaneously.

Maybe I wasn't in the mood for hearing Adam Levine's girlish vocals or maybe at the moment I just thought the album instantly sucked, but something turned me off of it, nevertheless after a few days I came back and heard the unseen treasures though out the album that I WOULD HAVE found the first time if I would've just taken the time.

Maroon 5 doesn't really disappoint with Hands All Over, featuring songs you'll find yourself tapping your foot to in the car, but hopefully not hitting a break in the process, like the mildly paced bass driven Stutter (Track 3) which focuses on a nervous dude asking out his fantasy girl' and their current radio single, Misery, which happens to be the first thing you hear when you pop this one in. Another enticing track from this album is Get Back in my Life (Track 9) which for fans of Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, might interestingly enough sound like it could be a distant cousin of the show's theme.

However one of the albums' best tracks, No Curtain Call, got displaced on this album I feel and certainly deserves your prime attention (Track 14). Though the song is much slower pace than the rest of the album, it certainly has more of an impact both in lyrics and composure. Be sure not to miss this one.

Overall, the band covers another large selection of their tracks from this album with fast beats and talented lyrics. However, might I suggest that for some reason it gave me flashbacks to early 90s pop music while listening to this for the first, second, and third time? Just thought I'd toss that out there

Recommended for the die-hards, but then again you were going to get it anyway?
