Martial Arts Secrets That Apply To All Martial Artistis!
This article was designed to provide a number of useful self defense tactics
, that will be effective for use in real world situations, where you must defend yourself. My past experience includes time spent as a bouncer, as well as time in prison, where fighting to stay alive was a full time job. You will find that combining the formal martial arts training and any previous street fighting experience that you have, with the information that I will share with you here, will give you the skills that you need. If you should find yourself in a situation where your life may be in jeopardy from a mugger or rapist, employing these methods may allow you to walk away from an otherwise deadly encounter. These techniques are designed for use in an actual street fight, and are not appropriate for a martial arts arena or competitive fighting.
Seizing any chance to bite your attacker, is the number one best martial arts secret. That means, you should not hesitate to bite your assailant's fingers, if they are close to your face. You may bite other areas of your attacker's body as well, and there is often a chance during an attack, for you to do so. If you see the opportunity present itself, bite your assailant's face, legs, ears, eyebrows, flanks, lips, elbow, or groin. Utilizing street only techniques, such as biting, during clinch fighting, will be highly effective and hard to defend against. You might have a huge fear of blood. But, if you are in danger of someone taking your life, what should you be more worried about? Take your chances with the blood, as choosing to bite your assailant, may save you from certain death at his hands. There is much evidence that biting is a highly productive strategy.
Number two on the list of best martial arts secrets is kicking these targeted areas - shins, kneecaps, or groin. If your attacker happens to grab your leg as you land a side kick, you will need to be able to get back up quickly if you fall to the ground. Kicking low will prevent your attacker from getting too close to you, and you should try your best to distribute your weight properly so that your kicks don't knock you off balance. Simple and dirty street fighting tactics are acceptable in real life or death encounters. A highly effective combination of self defense moves involves first stomping on your assailant's feet, then quickly and forcefully kicking his shins, followed by a punch to the groin. When you find yourself in a real-life street fight, you must be able to employ any and all cut-throat tactics to get out of the situation alive.
Learning and practicing a self defense routine that will save your life in a real street fight, is the third best martial arts secret. Your practice should simulate a true attack event, and your reactions must be real as well. There are always good places to train like at the gym or in a local park. You should also allow for some practice time in a confined space, such as a narrow hallway or tiny bedroom. While in prison, I found myself confronted with a fight in a five foot hallway more than once. Preparing for any location, a variety of terrains, and any size adversary, employing a variety of fighting methods, will allow you to know that you have the skills that you need to prevail.
