Mcdonalds Birocracy Does Not Concern Only Burgers And Cokes.
McDonald's have been serving to world its notorious brand of Hamburgers
. Having 33, 000 branches in over 100 countries around the world have propelled it to become the world's number one fast food company in terms of sale. Quarter Pounders, Big Macs and of course, their Chicken McNuggets have made it world famous. They are also known for other services like dine - services, delivery and drive through service.
Although it is famous for its burgers and chicken, McDonald's, just like any other companies has its own set of problems too. McDonald's Bureaucracy problems have been criticized by many of its employees. The inside story states the fact that although the company provides the finest pay and other benefits in comparison to the industry with considerate bosses, the higher administration continues to be very cut off from the workers particularly to their concerns.
Eliminating the so called McDonald's Bureaucracy is one major way of showing the people and their employees that they are as diverse as they claim. The job inside McDonald's can be very stressful and the working hours could be quite long. The "culture" and treatment with the employees also differs from branch to branch.
While it is true that problems like these do occur in any part of the business world most especially those who are on top of the field, the company has tried to make steps in soothing this unfavorable view given by the people that they employ. In the eyes of others, they may be seen as patriots of equality, but workers themselves have started to say otherwise.
Bureaucracy belongs to an autocratic class according to political and government language. It still remains indifferent even though efforts are made to change it. Actually, sensitivity and answerability is not the rationale of bureaucracy. The idea is to employ competent management to people under its authority.
A Bureaucracy does not heed the common man's needs just like representative institutions like the senate or the congress does. The judgements and strategies made by a bureaucracy are never based on any kind of public view. Rules are made as per their choice and put into practice in a manner that anticipates no opposition.
With this situation alone, it is very difficult to become responsive when the organization itself does not encourage responsiveness.
As the bureaucratic image of McDonald's has come forward, it is easy to deduce that insignificant "voices" of employees are unheard of as the company mainly focuses on its products alone. This crisis forces the workers to feel like a bunch of working robots. Their job is to follow all the orders of the higher authority irrespective if their choice.
Some may actually admire McDonald's unbiased treatment with their employees, many people, especially those who get the chance to work with them, actually says that McDonald's still has a very long, long way to go.
