Front office medical assistant job:

The job is very much similar to that of a receptionist job, but the main difference is the type of industry where you work. The job responsibilities include, attending phone calls, scheduling appointments, issuing bills, maintaining accounts, and assisting patients in understanding the technical paper work.

Administrative medical assistant job:

Admin MAs are considered as the backbone of a health care organization. The job involves handling a lot of paper work and other administrative responsibilities, like, making logistic arrangements, maintaining medical records, insurance forms and other things that requires filing and proper documentation.

Clinical medical assistant job:

The job involves responsibilities like, collecting blood or urine samples for various lab tests, keeping a record of patients health condition and improvement signs. A clinical medical assistant can also work in a laboratory, if required. In addition, he is responsible to instruct or guide patients on taking their medication, diet and following an exercise regime, which is suitable for them. He explains the treatments to the patients, prepares them for the surgery, X-Rays, remove sutures, and change dressings.
