Almost any Medina hotel you stay at can direct you toward the activities that occur in the cool night air. This is a holy city, so there is much prayer that takes place at the mosques. Shopping along the way is popular as the street markets are abundant with goods for sale and tasty food to eat.
Place Jemaa El Fna
See fire twirlers in action against the night sky. This Place Jemaa El Fna is a wonder to behold. Acrobats and musicians entertain the guests of this lovely city. Locals say that the action begins early in the evening here.
The Piano Bar
There has not been a place for alcoholic beverages here in the past, but there are now a limited number of places where one can have a nightcap. The Piano Bar is such a place and has been authorized by the Saudi government to serve alcohol. This is a place for gentlemen to partake of a fine cigar and sit and relax in comfortable red leather chairs.
Afric'n Chic
Outside the city walls there exists a different atmosphere. Afric'n Chic is a club that serves drinks and features Moroccan rap music and samba. This is the spot for young people and the fun begins at 9pm.
Though nightlife is not the norm here, there are many things to do in the evening after the warm sun sets. Visitors, whether out for a drink or just out to enjoy a nice meal or to visit a mosque for prayer, come out to enjoy the cool evening air.
