Men In Black 3 & Agent O

This past weekend my husband and I went to see Men in Black 3

, it's a fun movie. Director Barry Sonnenfeld recently highlighted, in The Wall Street Journal, for his exquisite wine cellar and great taste in quality wine said there are only two people he listens too; his wife whom he calls Sweetie, and Will Smith. Will because he is always happy (and he doesnt need to drink wine because of this). I cant help wondering if Sweetie is anything like Agent O or if Smith a man with a strong entrepreneurial wife had anything to do with the character. O is attractive, intelligent, and caring all traits women want in themselves and their men appreciate.

When we flash back in time Agent O is nothing more than an administrative clerk behind the scenes. Tommy Lee Jones and her have this thing going and its very 1960s. For anyone growing up during this time youll link it to your mother in the kitchen but really running the whole household and checkbook while the men think they are. Flashing to the present, she rose to be the head of the agency in the future; a position of trust and authority.

Even fictional women characters have a desire it seems to rise to the top. Real life is a bit harder after all; we dont have a time machine so we can see where we are going and how we got there. Entrepreneurs have to create a plan and take action. The word action means we have to work our talents or skills to achieve our dreams.

This isnt just about women in business, the men I coach tell me they were always told they would have to work hard to provide for their family compared to my female coaching clients who were not told this. I wonder what Mr. Sonnenfeld told Agent O oops, I mean Director O.

The thing that matters is Barry Sonnenfeld gets that women can rise and be at the top of any industry even a secret industry.
