There isnt much variety for music in the Twin Cities, sadly. You basically have one station for all the most marketable genres of music, country, oldies, top 40, and urban. Many of the best stations like KMOJ and Radio K dont have a very clear signal so you have to be either in a certain part of the city or online to hear them properly. Frommercedes rims to indie superstars to radio divas, here is a list of the best radio stations in the Twin Cities. Radio K The college radio station for the University of Minnesota, Radio K is able to play some of the most out-there and unheard of music thanks to their precence as a College station. Some of their music tastes overlap with The Current, but Radio K is more eclectic and plays songs from popular albums that arent just the singles or hits. Sadly, the Radio K signal isnt very strong so the quality of the sound in most areas of the Twin Cities is pretty shakey unless you are close to the University. The great thing is that their online music player can be listened to anywhere and with most mobile devices including radio tuners that can fix the problem. KMOJ The Peoples Station KMOJ is a great success story, with small initial support from the Center for Communication and Development, KMOJ was launched as a vehicle and voice for the African American community, playing various social awareness messages as well as some of the best in soul, funk, new and old R&B music. You wont find another station in the Twin Cities or in the Midwest as a whole that is similar to KMOJ, they are truly in a league of their own and hopefully will be able to stay on the radio waves for a long time to come.About the Author:
