Mike Tyson Optimistic About Fatherhood

During the late 1980s to 90s Mike Tyson was at the zenith of his career as a boxer

. He is ranked #16 on Ring Magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time. But his fame and money put him down. His sport accomplishments as well as his drug addiction, rape charges and outrageous behavior had kept his life under public scrutiny. A man who almost had it all, now humbled with lifes adversaries is now looking for a new future with renewed hope.

The Lowdown

Despite of the huge sum of money received; US$30 million for several of his fights and $300 million during his career Tyson declared bankruptcy. He admits and accepts his defeat, one particular interview Tyson shamelessly said that he is embarrassed with his life. "My whole life has been a waste - I've been a failure."

New Love, New Life

Despite of the failure of his first-two marriages, Mike Tyson wed to Lakiha Spicer. The marriage created mixed opinion from the public as just 10 days before, Exodus, his 4-year old daughter died due to exercise-machine accident. Tyson and Spicer had a short, private ceremony, at the La Bella Wedding Chapel at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. The boxer has seven children (including the deceased Exodus) from his previous marriage; 2 with Monica and 5 with previous relationships. And with the upcoming birth of his eighth child, Tyson is ecstatic and view fatherhood as a fresh start. The baby is due on February next year. With the recent interview on The View Tysons once defeating statements about his life was replaced with hope and joy. Tyson revealed that he is now forced to make ends meet. But he has an awesome life and an awesome wife and grateful with what is happening with his life at the present.
