The Mines Wonderland emerged from an eighty hectare lake located next to a tin mine

. Water plays a major role in the park and connects the park to the Mine Shopping Fair, the Malaysia International Exhibition Showroom (the MINES), and the Palace of the Golden Horses. There are a number of activities one can enjoy at the park. The list of activities include a variety of water sports such as wakeboarding and water skiing at the lake, taking a relaxing cruise around the lake, or simply splashing around on the shores of Malaysias largest artificial beach. The highlight of the Mines Wonderland theme park is the Musical Fountain. There are two shows everyday, one at 8 pm and another at 9 pm on weekdays- the 9 pm show is shifted to 9.30 on public holidays.

The park is located in Seri Kembangan roughly half an hours drive from the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. It is open from 3 pm to 10 pm everyday except for Mondays- unless the Monday is a public holiday. Visitors should plan to spend between two to three hours here. The park is not just for children and can be enjoyed by adults as well. The park is easily accessible. Those who plan on taking the KTM can get off at the Serdang Station and then take a short walk to the park.
