Rex rabbits can live quite long. With proper care and nutrition, they can live up to 10 years. On the contrary, they can be vulnerable and tends to get sick if they will be neglected.

My pet is quite healthy; weighing more than 4 pounds, I can say that the mini Rex rabbit care guide that I got from the net is truly effective. Without it I would have never been aware of all the issues that come with owning this specific pet.

I noticed that it's not good for my male Rex to be alone; hence, I was thinking of getting a female so I can have a pair. But learning that it is quite dangerous to put two bunnies that haven't bonded yet in one cage, I decided to bring my rabbit to a pet shop that knows how to organize "bunny dating". They let my rabbit choose which among the female rex rabbits he would like to bond with.

Since he found a suitable pair, I am certain that he is happier now. I would often see them grooming each other. Most of the time, one would lean on the other as it sleeps. They look so sweet and they are a great conversation piece.

Feeding these lovable couple is not a big issue on the budget. Each of them can only consume about a cup of dry pellets a day. As an alternative, I also feed them with wet foods at least 3 times a week. Other foods that can be given to them are timothy grass, red clover, alfalfa and orchard grass. I also give them fresh water each day.

I placed the couple in a cage with comfortable floors. I keep them inside my house in a cool area that won't go lower than 65 degrees. Because their bloods can't adjust quickly to temperature, I make sure that the temperature change will only have an alteration of 10 to 15 degrees to make sure that they won't experience temperature shock.

Litter training is something that every rabbit owner should give. As of me, I enjoy giving my rex rabbits this kind of training everyday.
