That is not to say all companies are created equal. Some companies are less likely to raise your rates over the long haul because they are more financially sound and better able to absorb large claim payments. In addition, customer service varies greatly from one company to the next.

The last aspect is your agent. You can have the best company on earth, but if the hospital or doctor's office makes a mistake in filing your claim, you'll need an agent who will aggressively tackle the issues and get them resolved.
