ADDITION
Addition, Addends or Terms = Sum or Summation
Addition is the basic operation of arithmetic counting. Addition combines two numbers, the addends or terms, into a single number, the sum. The repeated addition of the number 1 to the sum or subtraction of the number 1 from the sum is the most basic form of counting.
MULTIPLICATION
Multiplication, Multiplicand Times Multiplier = Product
Multiplication is the sum of a list of the same value number. Multiplication finds the sum, the product, of two numbers, the multiplier and the multiplicand. The multiplier is the number the of times the multiplicand is added from a list of 1 to 9 times.
SUBTRACTION
Subtraction, Minuend Minus Subtrahend = Difference
Subtraction is the opposite of addition. Subtraction finds the difference between two numbers, the minuend minus the subtrahend. If the minuend is larger than the subtrahend, the difference will be positive; if the minuend is smaller than the subtrahend, the difference will be negative; and if they are equal, the difference will be zero. Subtraction is the reduction of either a positive or negative number. Counting right is toward positive numbers. Counting left is toward negative numbers.
DIVISION
Division, Dividend Divided By Divisor = Quotient
Division is the opposite of multiplication. Division finds the quotient of two numbers, the dividend divided by the divisor. Division answers the question: How many times is the divisor subtracted from the dividend? The Doubler Subtracter eliminates the use of memorized multiplication tables using addition and subtraction.
PLUS ADDER
The Plus is the multiplier beginning with number 1 plus 1 to the fourth sum (1, 2, 3, 4). The Plus is also the selected multiplicand plus the selected multiplicand to the fourth sum. Adder is the sum or summation of combinations of either two, three or four of the multipliers numbers (1, 2, 3, 4). A Plus Adder is two sets of four numbers identified as Multiplier and Multiplicand. The Plus Adder eliminates the use of memorized multiplication tables using the addition of numbers 1, 2, 3, 4
