mobile marketing refers to advertisement done through mobile phones. Yes, mobiles are a very good marketing tool if they can be used properly.
The business institutions have to keep this fact in mind that in todays world everything is on the move. So, your product and service promotion has to keep pace with the fast moving life of the customers. Advertisement through radio, television, or print medium is now becoming obsolete. We do have time to watch television but with the increasing number of channels it is difficult to stick to a single channel and watch the programmes and the advertisements together. When one channel starts showing ads, we quickly move on to the other channel so that we can watch something good instead of the boring ads. mobile marketing to promote their services and products. Ad promotion techniques have to be innovative so that you can attract customers irrespective of their location.
The question is how you can do it? Initially the brand managers thought that telemarketing would be a good way of trapping customers. But slowly they came to know that phones ringing at inopportune moments disturb the target audience rather than impressing them. The worst part is that the promotional calls always come on a time when you are trapped into some serious personal or official job. Telemarketing may be quite affordable but rate of success is very less.
So the only thing left is a mobile device. One SMS is enough to make your customers know about the details about your product and service. One touch on the button and the SMS reaches thousands of customers at one go. That means you are spending for one message and the information is reaching to several thousand at a time. There is no chance of missing a single customer as ever information is fed into the computer and there can be no mistake at all.
