Modes To Reach From Jaipur To Hyderabad

Jaipur, known as the Pink City (color of the stone used exclusively here) is an important

tourist destination and also the capital of the state of Rajasthan. The city, built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh has many beautifully constructed palaces, havelis and forts like the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and the Amber fort. Indias famed Palace on Wheels, the most luxurious train in the world starts its journey from Jaipur.

Hyderabad, capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh is located on the banks of Musi River. The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad are together known as the modern Hyderabad. The city, a global Information Technology hub is also known for its pearl trade, pharmaceutical companies and film city. Also a major tourist centre, Hyderabad is famous for the Charminar, Golkonda Fort and Chowmahalla Palace. The State Government hosts the famous Lumbini Festival, for the followers of Buddhism.

Jaipur to Hyderabad is well connected by the road, rail and air routes.

Hyderabad is located at a distance of 1411 km from Jaipur via Nagpur which is on the NH7. Starting from Jaipur one has to drive via Kota Bhopal Betul - Nagpur- Adilbad to finally reach Hyderabad. The drive is long and takes about 22 hours. Bhopal can be considered as a good rest point on this route. There is an alternative route on the NH79 via Indore and the distance is 1811 km taking about 24 hours. This route is via Kota Indore Nasik Pune Solapur Hyderabad. The more popular route is the first route via Nagpur.

The roads from Jaipur to Hyderabad have various facilities like petrol pumps, hotels with clean wash rooms, ATMs on the way for your convenience.

There are a few direct buses from Jaipur to Hyderabad, but since the journey would take more than a day, it will not be advisable to take a bus .However one can book a private taxi, the rental charges for which will cost from Rs22000 onwards.

Since both bus and taxi do not seem to be advisable modes, it will be better to travel from Jaipur to Hyderabad by train. The Jaipur Secunderabad Weekly Express (9736) depart from Jaipur at 21.10 hours and arrives at Hyderabad at 03.55 hours the third day. The Biweekly Jaipur Mysore Superfast Express leaves Jaipur at 19.40 hours and reaches Hyderabad at 23.45 hours the next night. The train fare for an AC ticket is approximately Rs 1250. It is best suited while travelling with family.

The best way to travel from Jaipur to Hyderabad is by air. There are many flights on this route. The time taken for air travel is only about 2 hours and the fare starts from Rs 4300 upwards.
