Monitium - What Is It?

Monitium is a new wealth creation system based around changing the paradigm of network marketing. It doesn't provide a product or service for you to sell. Instead, it's like a training ground for people who are interested in building teams around various products.

The system is actually quite confusing for new members. How does this work again? What do I need to do to create a business opportunity?

The basic gist is that Monitium provides a platform for you to build a downline. They analyze opportunities and partner with MLM companies that provide products and services, and you create your team around those MLM partnerships.

Monitium allows you to create and track your downline through their services. They also offer training for using the internet to create a reliable downline. And, they claim that you no longer have to worry about attrition. The company isn't exactly a network marketing company, nor direct sales, nor affiliated marketing, but somewhere between a mix of all three. They say that they are changing the game completely.

How Much is the Investment?

Right now, potential investors are given an opportunity to join, as social media marketing and campaigns roll out in 2011. For those who are still unsure, they have a 30 day trial period that costs nothing.

For those who know that they want to join, the initial investment to sign up is about $120. That includes the enrollment fee, protected "genealogy" (for managing your downline), a back office system, and data storage. There's also a $70 package that includes monthly protected geneaology, as well as a success system subscription.

It all sounds quite confusing. Unlike other opportunities that are fairly cut and dry, this one has all sorts of elements that seem to defy network marketing. Is this an opportunity that could lead to success?

Too Good to Be True?

The basic premise of Monitium is that you can create one team and apply that team to various MLM companies (all through Monitium's online platform for management). So your team is supposed to earn you multiple commissions from many products.

It sounds too good to be true. The most important thing to consider, when looking at programs like this, is the actual strategy behind the glitz and glamour. How are you going to motivate your downline to sell from multiple product streams, and keep them motivated? It is a lot of ground to cover for any rep. And how are you going to attract new Monitium investors for your downline?

You need to first learn about traditional network marketing, and find out how the rules apply to this new company's system. You need to know how to effectively market, and add reps to your downline, and use the internet to create a sustainable business. It's all a matter of investigating, and finding out more about the industry before investing your money, and time, in a company like Monitium.
