For the first time since they masterminded Europe's 2010 Ryder Cup victory, European captain Colin Montgomerie will be joined by his three Celtic Manor lieutenants at this year's Golf Live 2011.
Darren Clarke, Thomas Bjorn and Paul McGinley, will unite with Colin Montgomerie to help stage one of the most exciting golfing weekend in the UK this year, bringing together, as Callaway Diablo Forged Irons will, many of the stars of the game, some of its biggest personalities and all of its leading manufacturers.
With Frenchman Thomas Levet and England's David Howell already on board with Monty and his vice captains and with host of other world-class player announcements still to come, Golf LIVE 2011 will offer golf fans an unusual, inside-the-ropes' experience where they will be able to see and hear the stars talk about the game of golf and gave tips at Masterclass Theaters .
Attendees will also be treated to the close-up spectacle of a three-hole pro-celebrity challenge.
Thomas Bjorn, Denmark's most famous golfer with 11 European Tour titles to his name, Ireland's Paul McGinley, best known for holing the winning putt at the 2002 Ryder Cup, and Darren Clarke, who represented Europe in five consecutive Ryder Cup matches between 1997-2006, will all be among the stars sharing the secrets of their Callaway Diablo Forged Irons.
After hearing about how successful last year's inaugural event was, Darren Clarke is predicting an even more exciting experience for golf fans in 2011.
He said" "I'm sure everyone will have a great day and will enjoy getting involved in the banter between the players and spectators.
"It's brilliant to see that the fans can get so close to the professionals and I'm sure we can pass on a few tips to help improve their game and ensure a memorable experience for everyone."
McGinley is also looking forward to the London Callaway Diablo Forged Irons event
"I am delighted to be a part of Golf LIVE 2011. It will be great to work alongside Monty again, albeit in less pressurized surroundings this time, and I'm sure all of the players are looking forward to giving golf fans a weekend they won't forget."
Thomas Bjorn, winner of the 2011 Qatar Masters and recent conqueror of Tiger Woods in the first round of the WGC Accenture Matchplay added: "At the young age of 40 I am starting to get my golf back to where I want to be. The win in Qatar was big for me and will hopefully be the start of a great season.
"We are fortunate in golf that we can keep playing at the highest level even into our 50's so I am looking forward to meeting golf fans of all ages at this year's GolfLIVE.
"I'm particularly looking forward to the driving theatre as that was one of the Callaway Diablo Forged Irons to my success out in Qatar, so I have quite a few tips to impart."
