Real estate in Bulgaria has been given a boost with the news that mortgage loans

for foreign nationals (as well as Bulgarians working abroad) have returned to the Bulgarian banking market. On July 13th, Bulgarian bank UniCredit Bulbank announced it had launched mortgages for foreigners and Bulgarians working abroad who could choose from a list of 22 Bulgarian real estate projects backed by the bank. This is an example of new requirements levied by some banks when offering these mortgages.
