Mouth-watering First Class Recipes

Here's a selection of first-class recipes to whet the appetite and reawaken jaded tastebuds. If Irish cream cheesecake, Barcardi Rum cake, African Ribs with Peanut Sauce and Fat Free Cantaloupe Smoothie dishes have piked your interest then please read on (please note: that being a confirmed sweet-tooth has encouraged me to place the cheesecake first , I must get my priorities right!).

I must say that the Grandma's Moonshine recipe seemed to be a bit of a wildcard, but it does keep good company with the extensive selection of alcohol-containing recipes and I love the idea of being able to make my own Bailey's Irish cream or Kahlua. I'm also greatly taken with the many rib recipes and have the African ribs with Peanut Sauce recipe high on my list of things to do (my partner is very supportive of this venture!), being a good ol' Kiwi from NZ I haven't really understood the American fascination with spareribs, until now that is, my partner is very supportive of my efforts in the kitchen and has developed a whole new appreciation for rib dishes too.

Now I am no Julia Childs, but I must admit that my culinary efforts and sense of adventure have developed since creating some of these dishes. I have found alot of my childhood favourites are featured here as well, English Plum Pudding brings back great memories and alot of my favourite comfort pasta dishes feature as well.

Now I am a bit of a fan of Smoothies, so my tastebuds went into overdrive when I saw Coffee Banana Smoothie and the succulent ingredients listed in the Hawaiian Holiday Smoothie. There are heaps of Smoothie recipes to work through, so should keep me occupied for some time. The other thing is, alot of the old favourites are here, but there are also heaps of new, exotic recipes with adventurous ingredient items listed and I'm absolutely elated to find a nice recipe for my favourite Black Forest Pumpernickel bread.

The recipes are nicely presented in a tidy, easy to read format and I appreciate the fact that I have the choice to print recipes off or work off the laptop, I must admit I am very over having my recipe books sporting visual examples of the very ingredients they list, not to mention the fact that I have now run out of storage room for the many recipe books I have accumulated over time, some of which I own purely for the short-lived pleasure of ogling the decadent pictures as opposed to actually bringing them to life off the pages. I love this E-format recipe book as it is so easy to follow and it doesn't list ingredients so rare that I would have to trek through the Himalayas before I even start mixing.

So, in conclusion this compilation of recipes is well worth having if you love the tried and true dishes of old and are adventurous enough to try some more exotic/different dishes too. So Happy Cooking and I hope you enjoy the resulting dishes of the day.
