In todays era where the competition is tough and organizational needs are much higher

to cope up with the competition, the information related to the organization plays a vital role. Now this information can be anything like information about employees, departments or infrastructure and this piece of information is what we refer as data. Microsoft SQL server solution is available in both graphical as well as command-prompt interface (depending on the version) which can be used to store or retrieve data on the server. 1)Buffer Management: SQL server saves the pages on the RAM which reduces the response time of the server hence making it more efficient and fast. It depends on the amount of memory, how much data will be cached on memory which is also known as buffer cache. Accessing the page (reading or writing) makes the page copied to buffer cache. Hence this buffer management makes the Microsoft SQL server fast and reliable.

2)Logging and Transaction: This feature ensures that if any changes are made, they are saved only if its finish. If, in case the transaction fails due to any reason then the database will always revert back to its last known consistent state. For every transaction a log is created which ensures that all changes are written to the data files.

3)Concurrency and Locking: As discussed earlier about the use of database, this can be accessed by many users at the same time maintaining the integrity of data. Users even have the facility to lock the data so that only a particular user can make the modifications to the data.

Hence hosting the data on sql server database, possessing so many advanced features for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the data, can prove to be the best and the perfect way to manage the data.
