The LED technology has contributed immensely to the electric field by saving a huge amount of electricity

. The light emitting diode present in the LED bulbs are small light bulbs that work with the action of electrons in a semiconductor in an electrical circuit. This technique of producing light with the help of semi conductors consumes minimum electrical current resulting in a huge cut down in electricity consumption and bills. These diodes are small but extremely powerful and have the capability of lighting up from a small bulb to television sets and traffic lights. These diodes do not exhibit too much heat while producing electricity like any incandescent bulb does and thus they do not turn too hot while lighting. The light emitting diodes are multi-purpose as they can be used in a variety of objects namely digital clocks, lamps, bulbs, television sets, traffic lights, and many more.

LEDs offer many wonderful advantages over incandescent bulbs and are much more effective and efficient. The LED bulbs are very cost efficient and save a large amount of electricity as compared to incandescent bulbs. In addition, the LED do not get too heated and neither do they exhibit any kind of harmful rays and thus stand perfect for using in cold areas and also around expensive and sensitive materials. The light diodes execute light in a particular direction, which is clean and bright, and thus they can be used in areas like laboratories, study rooms, libraries and many more. The filament of LED has a much longer life than of the incandescent bulbs that eliminates the need of frequent bulb replacement in turn saving a chunk of money spent on them.

Incandescent light bulb is not only costly in their prices but also requires frequent replacements that means another amount of money spend on them. Along with this, the light exhibited by these bulbs is not as clear as a tube light or a LED bulb and thus it does not stand sufficient in many places. However, the bright light of LED even have the capability of replacing a tubelight which means you can transfer all your tubelight volt consumption to the LED bulbs. Many companies and individuals who have implemented the LED technology in most of their appliances instead of other light consuming technologies have found to save a large amount of expenses incurred on their electricity bills. This in turn also makes a large contribution in saving our valuable and scarce resources.
