My Computer Is Running Slow - My Computer Is Infected With Malware What Can I Do

With so many websites trying to infect computers with viruses and malware it is important

that you have a good antivirus software and a firewall on your computer before you even go on the internet. If you do not it is like walking down the road with your wallet open encouraging people to help themselves. This will leave you wondering why my computer is running slow and will leave it at risk from malware.

Unfortunately even if you have antivirus software installed you may still have malware on your computer or a new virus that has bypassed your antivirus software. Here are the steps you need to take to clean up your computer.

#1 If this problem started after you installed a specific program or application that you downloaded remove it at once. You can do this by going to the windows control panel then add and remove programs and then removing it.

#2 There are a lot of malicious sites that will get you to install fake antivirus software and fake anti-spyware software. You may not even realise what is going on and you may think you are seeing genuine error messages and install the software. Instead of trying to work out what is fake and what is not do the following to find the answer to why my computer is running slow.

#3 Run a full antivirus scan and then download and run a system and registry scanner. This will find what has bypassed everything else.

#4 The final step is to find what damage the viruses and malware have done to the windows registry. Since windows uses this to run programs and store settings you may still find programs that will not run properly and your desktop icons come and go or do not appear correct. You may even see warning messages about the windows registry. If you see any of these errors you should do the following.

Run the system and registry scan you downloaded and check for errors. You may end up with hundreds of errors if the damage is bad. If this is the case don't panic. You can fix this by allowing the scanner to repair, delete or fix all the errors. Doing this you wondering why my computer is running slow and leave it faster and malware free.
