My Ex Girlfriend Wants To Work Things Out - Should I Go Through With It?

It's kind of funny how when you break up with someone

, you automatically go into this state where you really want them back and will do just about anything that you can to get her back. And then, when you find out that your ex girlfriend DOES want to work things out, suddenly you can have some doubts. What if your ex girlfriend wants to work things out with you? Should you go through with it?

There are some things that you may want to consider as you mull over what you are going to do:

1) Were you really just attracted to the chase?

It can be kind of thrilling to try and win back the love of a woman you have broken up with and that thrill of the chase can be quite alluring. However, sometimes when the chase ends, you start to see things differently. It's really not that uncommon for a guy to get all worked up and excited by the idea of winning back an ex girlfriend and then realizing that when the chase is over, the thrill is gone. If that is the case, then you may not really want to work things out. You may have just been excited by the chase and you can't base a relationship off of that.

2) Was she cheating on you?

There are plenty of reasons for why a couple will break up, and infidelity is one of the more common ones. If you had found out that your ex girlfriend was cheating on you or was considering cheating on you, then you may want to think twice about getting her back. Yeah, I know that sometimes it happens and then it never happens again. Of course, sometimes it happens and then it keeps on happening. You have to really consider things carefully if you know that your ex girlfriend was cheating on you and now she wants to work things out.

3) Are you optimistic about your future with her?

If you are really excited by the idea of getting back together with her and you are optimistic about what is going on, then by all means you should go ahead and see if you and her can work things out. You'll never know for sure what will happen if you don't try, right? As long as you go into it with the right attitude, you'll probably have a good shot at being able to get it right this time around with her.
