I am currently looking for a job that allows me be closer to home
. I currently work full time for a hospital in their fitness center working as a Fitness Specialist. I have a BS degree is Sports Studies/ Exercise Science from Indiana State University. I am married and have a 7 1/2 month old daughter. We are planning to try for another one this year. I want to work as a medical transcriptionist because it will allow me to be closer to home and my family. I have a few relatives who currently work as medical transcriptionists and have told me a little bit about it and what it entails, and it has caught my interest.
There hasn't been anything significant happen in my life that has motivated me to have an interest in medical transcription, although I am interested in the health, fitness, and medical fields. Some advantages that I feel are great is being able to have a flexible schedule and being able to be home with family. I currently work in a position that requires a lot of physical work 8 hrs. a day 5 times a week. If I work as a medical transcriptionist I don't have to worry about making a daycare payment or getting a call to come pick up my child from daycare because she's sick or because the weather is bad. I wouldn't have to worry about if my job is still going to be there when I come back the next day. I wouldn't have to worry about telling my boss I'm sorry but my family comes first and then worrying about how I'm going to care for my family without a job because I chose them over work. Some reasons as to why I'm interested in working for Future MT is because first off being able to take the training course at my own pace not having to worry when I'm going to get to work on it between work and daily chores I can do it on my own time. Also, it was one of the websites that caught my eye right off. The website was very organized and easy to find the things I was looking for. One key element was being able to work from home that is something that I have always been interested in because I don't like missing anything that my daughter does, plus it's in the medical field in which I have a strong interest in and wish to pursue. My future goals would be to complete the medical transcription training, get a job as a Medical transcriptionist and enjoy working as one. Maybe one day consider my own business once I get settled. This is something I would really enjoy doing and seeing myself do for the rest of my life. This is something that would help me be able to enjoy work and my family at the same time.
